Ingredients

 
1 pound bulk pork sausage
 
2 medium onions, chopped
 
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
 
2 garlic cloves, minced
 
3 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) chicken broth
 
2 cups water
 
3 chicken bouillon cubes
 
1/2 pound fresh kale, chopped
 
3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
 
2 cans (16 ounces each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained

Directions

In a 5-qt. Dutch oven over medium heat, cook sausage and onions in oil for 5 minutes or until sausage is browned; drain.
Add garlic; cook for 1 -2 minutes.
Add broth, water, bouillon and kale; bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; leaving the cover ajar, simmer for 1 hour.
Add the potatoes and cook for 15 minutes.
Add the beans; cook until potatoes are tender and beans are heated through
