Sausage Hominy Skillet Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 8-ounce package brown-and serve sausage links, halved | ||
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Hominy | 1 16 Ounce, undrained | |
| 1 6-ounce can evaporated milk or one | ||
| 2 1/2-ounce package sour cream sauce mix, prepared according to package directions | ||
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
In skillet brown the sausage pieces. (Electric skillet 350°.)
Add onion and butter; cook till onion is tender but not brown.
Combine flour, salt, and pepper.
Stir into sausage.
Add undrained hominy and evaporated milk or sour cream sauce.
Reduce heat (220°); cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Add green pepper; cook till crisp-tender, about 10 minutes.
Add onion and butter; cook till onion is tender but not brown.
