Sausage & Fruit Skewers Recipe

Ingredients
2 pounds mild Italian pork sausage
1 large pineapple
1 large cantaloupe
Honey-lime sauce
Directions
Place sausage in a wide frying pan and add water to cover.
Bring water to boiling, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer gently for 20 minutes; drain and set aside.
Peel and core pineapple; cut into 3/4 inch cubes; set aside.
Cut cantaloupe in half, peel and scoop out and discard seeds.
Cut into 3/4 inch cubes.
Prepare honey-lime sauce.
Group pineapple, cantaloupe, and sausage separately on a large platter.
Skewer whole sausages lengthwise along with pieces of fruit; or, cut sausages into chunks and alternately thread on skewers with fruit.
Brush honey-lime sauce on skewered sausage and fruit and place on lightly greased grill 4 to 6 inches above a solid bed of glowing coals.
Cook, turning often and basting with sauce, for 5 to 7 minutes or just until brown on all sides.
