 1 lb. Economy sausage
 1 chopped or grated onion (large)
 Tomatoes large can1
 Flour1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted (Batter:)
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon (Batter:)
 Egg1 (Batter:)
 Salt1 Pinch (Batter:)

Directions

Cook sausage with chopped onion.
Pour off any excess grease, heat the tomatoes and pour over sausage and onions in a baking dish.
Then cover tomatoes with the batter.
Sift dry ingredients into dish, add beaten egg and milk to make a stiff dough.
Drop on top of dish and bake until a nice brown in moderate oven.
