Sausage Dinner Recipe
Ingredients
1 lb. Economy sausage
1 chopped or grated onion (large)
1 large can tomatoes
Batter:
1/2 cup sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
Pinch salt,
Directions
Cook sausage with chopped onion.
Pour off any excess grease, heat the tomatoes and pour over sausage and onions in a baking dish.
Then cover tomatoes with the batter.
Sift dry ingredients into dish, add beaten egg and milk to make a stiff dough.
Drop on top of dish and bake until a nice brown in moderate oven.
