Sausage Castles Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups pork sausage meat, formed into a roll about 2 Inches in diameter | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| All purpose flour | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), seasoned | |
| Cooking oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 x14 oz can chopped tomatoes | ||
| 1 small onion, roughly chopped | ||
| Tomato Paste | 1 Tablespoon (Sauce:) | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Teaspoon (Sauce:) | |
Directions
1 Cut sausage meat evenly into 6 thick slices. Pat into rounds and coat with egg and seasoned flour.
2 Preheat a browning dish: 4 minutes on full power for small size; 6 minutes on full power for a large size.
3 Put oil into the dish and all sausage meat rounds.
4 Microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Turn rounds over and microwave on power 5 for 6 minutes.
5 Remove from microwave oven and transfer to a warmed 30 x 20 x 5cm/ 12x8x2 inch ovenproof glass dish. Cover and set aside.
6 To make the sauce: put all sauce ingredients into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
7 Pour into a 1 litre/1 3/4 pint (4 1/4 cup) jug and microwave on full power for 3 minutes.
8 Pass through a sieve onto warm sausage meat rounds.
