Sausage Breakfast Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| White bread slice | 6 | |
| Butter or margarine | ||
| Ground pork sausage | 1 pound | |
| 1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded | ||
| Longhorn cheese | ||
| 6 large eggs, lightly beaten | ||
| Half and Half | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Trim crust from bread slices; reserve crusts for another use.
Spread butter over 1 side of each bread slice.
Place bread slices, buttered side up, in bottom of a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking dish.
Set aside.
Brown sausage in a large skillet, stirring until it crumbles; drain.
Spoon sausage over bread; sprinkle with cheese.
Combine eggs, half-and-half, and salt; pour over cheese.
Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
Remove from refrigerator; let stand, covered, 15 minutes.
Uncover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until golden.
