Ingredients

 Salt pork1/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced
 Sauerkraut2 Cup (16 tbs), drained
 1/2 pound washed and chopped mushrooms or use
 Button mushrooms1 Can (10oz)
 Sugar1 Teaspoon
 Sour cream 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/4 cup fine dry crumbs
 Butter/Margarine1 Teaspoon

Directions

1. Fry the salt pork dice until golden.
2. Add the sauerkraut and mix well. Add the mushrooms and sugar. Cover and simmer over low heat 30 minutes.
3. Start broiler, set at 350° F., Moderate. Rub a 1-quart baking dish with margarine.
4. Add the sour cream to the sauerkraut. Mix thoroughly. Put into the greased baking dish, top with crumbs, dot with butter or margarine and brown under broiler heat 3 or 4 minutes.
