Saucy Sausage Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
1 (6 ounce) package long grain and wild rice mix
1 pound bulk pork sausage
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/2 cup water
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 (8 ounce]l can sliced water chestnuts, drained
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 (2 1/2 ounce) package sliced almonds, toasted
Directions
Cook rice mix according to package directions; set aside.
Cook sausage, ground beef, and onion in a large skillet until meat is browned, stirring to crumble meat.
Drain.
Combine meat mixture, rice, and remaining ingredients except almonds.
Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish; sprinkle with almonds.
Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
