| Tomato sauce - 4 tablespoons (half an 8-oz. can) | ||
| Yellow onion | 1 | |
| Small carrots - 2 cups cut into about 1-inch lengths and cooked until barely tender | ||
| Pinch basil leaves | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a saucepan put tomato and onion rings.
2. Simmer until onions are partly cooked but not crunchy.
3. Drain carrots and add to onions and sauce.
4. Sprinkle basil over it.
5. Add salt.
SERVING
6. Serve immediately.
