Saucy Banana Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
| Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch pie | ||
| 2 to 3 firm ripe bananas | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | ||
| Orange Sauce | ||
Directions
Roll the pie pastry to 16x8 inch rectangle.
Cut into eight 4 inch squares.
Peel and cut bananas in eight 1 1/2 inch pieces; dip in the lemon juice.
Combine sugar and cinnamon.
Place a banana piece on each pastry square; sprinkle each with 7 teaspoon of the sugar mixture.
Moisten edges of pastry.
Bring corners to center; pinch edges to seal.
Brush dumplings with a little milk; sprinkle each with 1/2 teaspoon of the remaining sugar mixture.
Place dumplings on baking sheet.
Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
