Ingredients
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Dates | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Granulated sugar | 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Crisp rice cereal | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Icing sugar | 1 |
Directions
In large saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in dates, sugar and eggs; cook, stirring, over medium heat until thickened, 7 to 10 minutes.
Stir in cereal and nuts, mixing well.
Let cool to room temperature.
On waxed paper sprinkled with icing sugar, shape mixture into 2 rolls 1-1/2 inches (4 cm) in diameter.
Roll in icing sugar to coat completely.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill until firm, about 4 hours or overnight.
Cut into 1/4 inch (5 mm) slices to serve.
