Ingredients

 
2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
 
4 green onions, chopped fine
 
2 tbsp (30 mL) margarine or butter
 
2 tbsp (30 mL) flour
 
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
 
1 cup (250 mL) fish cooking liquid
 
2 tbsp (30 mL) fresh parsley, minced

Directions

Place in a dish the first 2 tablespoons (30 mL) butter and the green onions.
Microwave 2 minutes at HIGH.
In a 4-cup (1 L) microwave-safe measuring cup, stir together the margarine or butter and the flour, then add the salt and the fish cooking liquid.
Microwave 1 minute at HIGH.
Stir well and microwave 2 minutes at MEDIUM-HIGH.
Stir thoroughly.
The sauce should be smooth and creamy.
Add the parsley, stir well.
Pour over the fish or serve separately.
