Sauce Robert With Simplified Brown Sauce Recipe

1 tbsp (15 mL) each butter and vegetable oil
 
1 onion, minced
 
1 cup (250 mL) white wine
 
1 recipe simplified brown sauce
 
3 to 4 tsp (15 - 20 mL) Dijon mustard
 
3 tbsp (50 mL) soft butter
 
3 tbsp (50 mL) parsley, minced

Directions

€¢ Place the butter, vegetable oil and onion in a microwave-safe dish. Mix well. Add the wine, stir and microwave 5 to 8 minutes at HIGH, stirring three times during the cooking. The wine must reduce without the onion drying up.
€¢ Place the brown sauce in a microwave-safe dish and microwave 1 minute at HIGH. Add the reduced wine.
€¢ Mix together in a bowl the mustard, soft butter and minced parsley. Add to the sauce. Stir to mix well. Microwave 1 minute at HIGH, stir well
