Ingredients
3/4 cup coarse dry bread crumbs
1 cup lemon-lime carbonated beverage
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons dried dill weed
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup chili sauce
Directions
1. Soak bread crumbs in lemon-lime carbonated beverage in a bowl until liquid is absorbed. Add ground beef and remaining ingredients except chili sauce; mix lightly but thoroughly.
2. Pack meat mixture lightly into a lightly oiled microwave-oven-safe 5 1/2- to 6-cup ring mold. Unmold into a 10-inch glass pie plate. Cover with waxed paper. Cook in microwave oven 5 minutes at High.
3. Remove excess liquid from meat ring with baster; rotate pie plate one-half turn. Cook covered in microwave oven 4 to 5 minutes at High,
or until meat is no longer pink on surface.
4. Again remove excess liquid with baster and rotate dish one-half turn. Spread chili sauce over meat ring. Cook covered in microwave oven
4 to 5 minutes at High, or until set.
5. Remove from oven, cover with aluminum foil and let stand 5 minutes for heat to equalize. Remove any excess liquid with baster before serving.
