Sassy Sausages Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup water
1/3 cup red cinnamon candies red food color
3 red tart apples, cored and cut into 1/2-inch rings
1 pound pork sausage links
3 tablespoons water
Directions
In skillet, heat 1 cup water, the cinnamon can-dies and few drops red food color until candies are melted.
Place apple rings in syrup; cook slowly, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes or until tender.
Place links in another skillet; add 3 tablespoons water.
Cover tightly; cook slowly 8 minutes.
Uncover; cook, turning sausages until well browned.
To serve, insert hot sausage link in center of each apple slice.
