Sardine Appetizer Spread Recipe
Ingredients
1 3 3/4-ounce can sardines in oil, drained
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 tablespoons finely chopped green onion
2 tablespoons chili sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
Few drops bottled hot pepper sauce
Directions
Mash the sardines with a fork.
Combine with butter or margarine, onion, chili sauce, lemon juice, mustard, and hot pepper sauce.
Blend thoroughly.
Chill.
Let stand at room temperature a few minutes before serving.
Serve with crisp rye wafers.
