Sardine Coast O' Maine Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| Unflavored gelatin | 1 | |
| 1/4 cap cold water | ||
| Boiling water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cap vinegar | ||
| 1 pint creamy cottage cheese | ||
| Bleu cheese | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), crumbled | |
| Mayonnaise | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Small, chopped | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, minced | |
| Horseradish | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Celery seed | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind | ||
| 1/2 cup grated and drained encumber | ||
| Sardines | 2 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Soak gelatin in cold water.
MAKING
2) Dissolve the gelatin in boiling water.
3) Add vinegar, mayonnaise, and cheese.
4) Stir in the remaining ingredients and mix well.
5) Sprinkle salt and pepper.
6) Take mold greased with oil, turn the mixture, and chill for 4 hours or until firm.
SERVING
7) Take a serving plate, and serve.
8) If desired, garnish with horseradish, greens, mayonnaise, onion rings, tomato wedges, and extra sardines.
