Ingredients
| 1 quantity basic pizza dough | ||
| SARDINE & ONION TOPPING | ||
| Olive oil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Red onions | 3 , sliced | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| Mixed herbs | 3 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Sardines | 200 Gram | |
| Lime rind | 1 Tablespoon, finely grated | |
| Lime juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| black pepper | 1 | |
Directions
Prepare pizza dough as described in recipe, then shape to form a 1 cm thick round with a 30cm diameter.
Place on a lightly greased baking tray and set aside.
To make topping, heat oil in a frying pan over a low heat.
Add onions and garlic and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until onions are soft.
Add herbs and mix to combine.
Spread onion mixture over pizza base, top with sardines, sprinkle with lime rind, lime juice and black pepper to taste.
Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 190° C and bake for 15 minutes longer or until base is crisp and golden.
