Sangria Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
2 oranges, cut in wedges
2 limes, sliced
2 lemons, sliced
2 fifths of rose, burgundy or other red wine
1/4 cup brandy
1 (28 ounce) bottle club soda, chilled
Directions
Mix the sugar and water in a saucepan and boil for 2 minutes or until sugar is completely dissolved.
Cool to lukewarm.
Marinate the orange, lime and lemon slices in the sugar syrup for at least 12 hours.
Place the fruit slices and sugar syrup in a glass pitcher or punch bowl.
Mash some of the fruit slices.
Add the red wine and brandy.
Pour in the club soda slowly.
Add some ice and stir until frosty.
Add strawberries if desired.
