Sandwiches & Snacks Recipe
My husband can live on these Sandwiches & Snacks. This tasty snack is one of my favorites too. Try this delicious Sandwiches & Snacks recipe for yourself.
Ingredients
1 lb. lowfat hot Italian sausage links
1 tomato, sliced
1 green pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
1 small purple onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 T black pepper, coarsely ground
1 t dried Italian seasoning
1/4 c nonfat mayonnaise
4 hero sandwich buns, split and toasted nonfat cooking spray
Directions
Coat the grill with cooking spray and preheat for 5 minutes.
On the grill, arrange the sausages widthwise (hori zontally) and place the tomato, green pepper and onion around the links.
Mix together the garlic, black pepper and Italian seasoning and sprinkle over the sausage-vegetable mixture.
Grill for 6-7 minutes, or until heated through completely.
Lightly spread the mayonnaise on each split bun and pile the sausage vegetable mixture inside.
