GETTING READY
1 Lightly grease a large plate or a tray.

2 In a blender jar, combine all the ingredients.
3 Blend well to get a smooth paste.
4 In a thick-bottomed pan, transfer the mixture and heat thoroughly.
5 Lower the heat and simmer, stirring constantly for 15 to 20 minutes.
6 Pour the mixture into the prepared plate.
7 Let cool.
SERVING
8 Cut into desired shape and serve.

You could do some variation in the flavor. for instance to make kesar sandesh, soak ½ tsp of kesar in ½ tsp of water and add to the mixture before blending.
