Samish Mirchi Soup Recipe
Ingredients
Mutton-1 pound, small pieces
Water-3 cups
Salt-1 teaspoon
Ghee-1 ounce
Onion-1 large, chopped
Garlic-2 cloves, chopped
Meat bouillon-1 1/4 cups
Coconut milk -1/3 cup
Fresh lemon juice
Grind into paste:
Green ginger -1 (1inch)
Coriander seeds -1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder -1/2 teaspoon
Peppercorns-8
White cumin seeds -1/2 teaspoon
Poppy seeds -1/2 teaspoon
Dry red chilies -4
Salt-1 teaspoon
Directions
MAKING
1)In a pan, add mutton, water and salt. Boil for 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
2)Using an electric blender make a paste and strain it into another saucepan.
3)In a saucepan, heat ghee and saute onion until golden.
4)Make a paste of spices and add it to onions.
5)Add stock and coconut milk and boil.
SERVING
6)Sprinkle coriander and serve soup hot.
