Sambal Dip Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 one-quarter-inch slice medium onion | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Celery stalks | 2 | |
| Cucumber | 1/2 Large, peeled | |
| 1/2 green pepper, seeded | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Turmeric | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Powdered ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Chili powder | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Cumin seed | 1/8 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Tomato Paste | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Use a food chopper to grind garlic, celery, onion, green pepper, and cucumber.
2) Press through a sieve so that the juice comes out.
3) Add salt, ginger, turmeric, cumin seed, and chili powder over the vegetables and mix well.
4) Blend in tomato paste.
5) Stir in sour cream and mix well.
6) Chill in a refrigerator.
SERVING
7) Serve as dip with crackers or cheese cube.
