Directions

Rub pot with garlic.
Heat oil; add beef, lamb, veal and large sliced onion and brown.
Add thyme, pepper, oregano, butter, parsley, salt, 1/2 cup wine and 1/2 cup water.
Cover; simmer 45 minutes.
Add sugar, peas and pods, tomatoes, carrots, 4 medium onions, mushrooms, remaining wine, 1/2 cup water and bay leaves.
Cover; simmer 3 to 4 hours.
