Salzburg Nockerl Recipe
Salzburger Nockerln has a fine taste. Salzburger Nockerln gets its taste from eggs mixed with flour and flavored with vanilla. Salzburger Nockerln is inspired by many food chains around the world.
Ingredients
4 egg whites
1/4 cup fine granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla flavored sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 egg yolks
3 tablespoons flour
Directions
Beat egg whites until soft peaks are formed; beat in sugar and vanilla sugar, 2 tablespoons at a time.
Continue beating until very stiff peaks are formed.
Put the butter into a round shallow baking dish or skillet; set on low rack in oven until butter is melted.
Meanwhile, beat egg yolks until thick.
Fold about 3 tablespoons of the beaten egg whites into egg yolks, then fold into remaining egg whites.
Continue folding gently, sifting the flour over mixture during folding process.
Remove heated dish from oven and gently spoon egg mixture into 4 mounds in dish.
Return to oven and bake until lightly browned, about 8 minutes.
