Salted Peanut Sticks Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine | ||
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Vinegar | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind | ||
| Allspice | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salted peanuts | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
Cream first 4 ingredients together until fluffy.
Add lemon rind and allspice.
Work in flour and peanuts.
Press mixture firmly and evenly into 8-inch square pan lined with waxed paper.
Chill in freezer until firm.
Remove from pan, and peel off paper.
Cut square in half; then slice each rectangle into 1/4-inch slices to make fingers 4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide.
Place on oiled cookie sheets, and bake at 325°F. 25-35 minutes or until lightly browned.
