Salmon Macaroni Recipe
Ingredients
| Macaroni | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3 tablespoons enriched flour | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Garlic salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream | 1 12 Ounce | |
| 1 cup shredded sharp process cheese | ||
| Salmon | 1 1 pound, drained, flaked | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Soft bread crumbs | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon, melted | |
Directions
Cook macaroni in boiling salted water till tender; drain.
Melt 1/4 cup butter; blend in flour, salt, pepper, and garlic salt.
Add milk gradually and cook till thick, stirring constantly.
Add cottage cheese, shredded cheese, salmon, and macaroni.
Stir in eggs.
Pour into greased 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Toss crumbs in the melted butter; sprinkle over casserole.
Bake at 350° about 30 minutes or till set in center.
