Sally Lunn Muffins Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
Directions
Cream butter with sugar until thoroughly blended.
Beat in egg until mixture is light and fluffy.
Beating until blended after each addition, alternately add creamed mixture and milk to a blend of flour and baking powder.
Spoon batter equally into greased 2 1/2 inch muffin-pan wells.
Bake at 400°F 20 minutes, or until muffins are golden brown.
