Salisbury Steaks With Onions And Peppers Recipe
Ingredients

| 4 medium-sized onions, sliced | ||
| 2 medium-sized green peppers, sliced | ||
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablespoons catchup | ||
| Dry sherry | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
1. In 12-inch skillet over medium heat, in hot butter or margarine, cook onions and green peppers until tender. Remove to platter.
2. Meanwhile, in bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Shape mixture into four 1/2 inch-thick patties.
3. In same skillet over medium-high heat, cook patties about 5 minutes for medium-rare or until of desired doneness, turning once. Arrange patties on platter with onions and peppers.
4. Into drippings in skillet over medium heat, stir flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt; cook 1 minute. Add water, catchup, sherry, and soy sauce; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens slightly; pour sauce over patties.
