Ingredients

 Egg1 , beaten
 Saltine crackers1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley crushed
 Worcestershire sauce1 Tablespoon
 Ground beef1 pound
 1 1-ounce envelope brown gravy mix
 Onion1 Small, separated into rings
 Sliced mushrooms1 3 1/2 Ounce, drained
 Water1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Combine the egg, crushed crackers, and Worcestershire sauce.
Add meat; mix well.
Shape into 4 patties about 1/2 inch thick each.
Arrange patties in an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Cover with waxed paper.
Cook at HIGH for 4 minutes.
Turn patties over; cook, covered, at HIGH for 3 minutes.
Remove patties to a serving platter.
Keep warm.
Skim fat from drippings; add gravy mix, onions, and mushrooms to drippings in dish.
Stir in water.
Cook, uncovered, at HIGH for 4 1/2 minutes till thickened and bubbly, stirring every minute.
Serve atop English muffins or bread, if desired.
Serve gravy over patties.
