Salata Recipe
Salata is a lebanese salad made with mixed veggies. This salata recipe is a fresh and light vegetable salad made with olives and watercress. Dressed with olive oil, this fresh salad in one of my best loved salads because of its simplicity.
Ingredients
| Lettuce | 6 Cup (16 tbs), shredded | |
| 3 tomatoes, peeled and chopped | ||
| 1 large unpared cucumber, chopped | ||
| Watercress | 1 Bunch (100gm), chopped | |
| Green pepper | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Green onions | 4 , finely chopped | |
| 1/4 cup sliced pitted Greek or ripe olives | ||
| Lemon juice | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/3 cup olive or salad oil | ||
Directions
Combine first 6 ingredients.
Add olives, lemon juice, and salt; toss.
Mound salad on platter.
Garnish with additional tomato wedges, cucumber slices, and olives, if desired.
Pour oil over all.
Let stand 15 minutes to blend flavors.
