Salade De Tomates Recipe
Salade de tomates is a lovely french tomato salad herbed with chives and basil. Dressed with a light vinegar-oil dressing with garlic and mustard for taste, the salade de tomates is great aside meats and grilled fish.
Ingredients
| Tomatoes, thinly sliced 450g/1 lb | ||
| Chives | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Basil | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Olive oil 50ml/2floz | ||
| Wine vinegar | 2 Tablespoon (DRESSING) | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed (DRESSING) | |
| French mustard | 1 Teaspoon (DRESSING) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
First make the dressing.
Put all the ingredients into a screw top jar and shake vigorously to blend.
Arrange the tomato slices, slightly overlapping, in a serving dish.
Pour over the dressing, then sprinkle with chives and basil.
Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving.
