Sage Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves | ||
| 6 slices thinly sliced deli ham | ||
| Mozzarella cheese strip | 6 | |
| 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped | ||
| Sage leaves | 3/4 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Dry bread crumbs | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parmesan cheese | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Minced parsley | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
Directions
Flatten chicken to 1/8-in thickness.
Place a ham slice, a mozzarella cheese strip, 1 tablespoon tomato and 1/8 teaspoon sage down the center of each chicken breast.
Roll up and tuck in ends; secure with toothpicks.
In a shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and parsley.
Dip chicken in butter, then roll in crumb mixture.
Place in a greased 9-in square baking dish.
Drizzle with remaining butter.
Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.
Discard toothpicks.
