Saffron Sorbet Recipe
Saffron Sorbet is simply irresistible, to say the least! Try this Saffron Sorbet; I am sure you'll have a huge fan following for this one.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar
Pinch of saffron threads
Strained Juice of 5 medium lemons
1 teaspoon anise liqueur
4 to 5 fresh mint leaves (garnish)
Directions
Combine water and sugar in medium saucepan.
Cook over low heat until sugar dissolves, swirling pan occasionally.
Increase heat to medium high and bring syrup to boil.
Stir in saffron.
Let cool.
Mix in lemon juice and liqueur.
Transfer to ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's instructions.
Scoop into dessert bowls or glasses.
