Sabut Urad Dal Recipe
Ingredients
| Sabut urad dal - 1/2 kg | ||
| Black pepper | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 6 Clove (5gm) | |
| Black cuminseeds - 1 tsp | ||
| Ginger | 2 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
| Water | 15 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Asafoetida water - a few drops | ||
| Onion | 1 | |
| Ghee | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Pick and wash the urad dal well.
MAKING
2 In a pan, boil water.
3 Add in urad dal and cook on low heat until half tender.
4 Add in asafoetida water, black pepper, chopped garlic, ginger and onion.
5 Cook until tender and well mixed.
6 In a pan heat the ghee.
7 Add in the black cumin seeds and fry till they splutter.
8 Mix with the dal and stir.
SERVING
9 Serve hot with rice or chapatis.
