Rye Buildups Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 seasoned rye crackers | ||
| 8 thin slices tomato, peeled | ||
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), diced | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Cheese | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup chopped bacon, cooked | ||
| Cayenne pepper | 1 | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 425° F before baking.
MAKING
2. On an unbuttered cookie sheet, arrange rye cracker and top each with a slice of tomato. Prepare a cheese spread-onion-green pepper mixture and use it to top each sandwich. Spread in an even manner above tomato and cracker. Sprinkle a little paprika and cayenne pepper and top with bacon.
3. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or till cheese melts and becomes mildly brown.
SERVING
4. Serve hot.
