|Sliced gingerroot/1 teaspoon dry ginger||1 Tablespoon|
|Sweet italian sausages||5 , casings removed|
|Cinnamon sticks||4 , broken in half|

Remove from heat.
Place the apple mixture in a casserole.
Add the chablis, orange juice and ginger to the juices in the skillet.
Cook the liquid over high heat until reduced by half.
Arrange the sausages over and around the apple mixture in the casserole.
Place the cinnamon sticks on top.
Pour the orange juice mixture over the cinnamon sticks.
Cover tightly with foil.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly, removing the foil for the last 5 minutes of baking time.
