Ruby Red Grapefruit and Tequila Sorbet Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Simple Syrup :) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Simple Syrup :) | |
| Grapefruit juice | 5 Cup (16 tbs), squeezed (Tequila Sorbet :) | |
| Tequila | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) (Tequila Sorbet :) | |
| Grand Marnier liqueur - 2 tablespoons | ||
| Lime wedges - few (garnish) | ||
| Mint sprigs - few (garnish) | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Simple syrup: In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar together.
2) Stir continuously over a medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
3) Allow the syrup to cool, then refrigerate until chilled.
MAKING
4) In a large bowl, combine the chilled simple syrup, grape juice, Tequila and Grand Marnier together, until well blended.
5) Place the bowl in the refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
6) Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker as per the directions until set.
SERVING
7) Garnish the Ruby Red Grapefruit and Tequila Sorbet with a few lime wedges and mint sprigs and serve with butter cookies.
