Royal Frosting Recipe
The flavor of this Royal Frosting recipe has played on my senses so much that I hardly ever go for any other Royal Frosting recipe. Ingredients
2 egg whites
3-1/2 cups (450 g) powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon glycerine
Directions
In a large bowl, beat the egg whites very lightly until frothy.
Using a wooden spoon or an electric mixer on the lowest speed, gradually beat in half the powdered sugar.
If using a wooden spoon, continue beating the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy, 5 to 10 minutes.
If using an electric mixer, increase the speed and beat for 5 to 8 minutes.
Use a wooden spoon to beat in the remaining powdered sugar and glycerine a little at a time.
The frosting is ready when it will stand up in peaks.
