Rosy White And Wild Rice Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup wild rice, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup long grain rice
1 14 1/2 ounce can stewed tomatoes, cut up
1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup plain low fat yogurt
Directions
In a medium saucepan heat water and salt to boiling.
Add wild rice; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in long grain rice.
Return to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes more or till all rice is tender.
Meanwhile, in a small saucepan combine undrained tomatoes, basil, thyme, pepper, and garlic.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes or till mixture is very thick.
Remove from heat.
Add tomato mixture to rice; mix well.
Add wild rice; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in long grain rice.
Return to boiling; reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes more or till all rice is tender.
