Rosy Spring Apples Recipe
Ingredients
| Firm apples - 24, firm | ||
| Lemon | 1 | |
| Sugar | 6 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Red food color - Few drops | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Wash all the apples well.
2. Slice every apple into 4-5 rounds.
3. In a bowl of cold water add lemon juice or ascorbic acid powder. Immerse all the apple slices in this liquid.
MAKING
4. In a bowl prepare a syrup of water, sugar and food color. Simmer this mixture till the sugar dissolved.
5. Boil for 5 minutes
6. Simmer the apple slices in a sugar syrup till they get glazed and are pink. Simmer for 5 minutes.
7. Drain the apple slices on a waxed paper.
SERVE
8. Serve rosy spring apples in serving bowls.
