Romertopf Special Pea Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Peas | 1/2 pound, dried | |
| Ham | 1/2 pound, chopped | |
| Potatoes | 1 , chopped | |
| Bouquet Garni | ||
| White wine | 1/2 Pint | |
| Stock | 1 1/2 Pint | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 400F.
2) Soak the peas overnight.
MAKING
3) Into a pre-soaked romertorpf, add in the soaked peas, chopped ham, stock, white wine, potatoes and the bouquet garni.
4) Place the vessel in the oven and cook for at least 2 1/2 hours.
SERVING
5) Garnish the Pea Soup with chopped parsley.
6) You may also garnish it with marjoram, crushed garlic, thyme.
7) Serve toasted croutons on the side.
