Romance Sorbet Recipe

Romance Sorbet, like its name is an aphrodisiac sorbet recipe. It has several herbs that go into this romantic concoction. Ideal for Valentine's Day!

Recipe Story

From what I hear, sea holly root and vervain are very powerful herbs that are often referred to a aphrodisiacs. The flavors of these herbs are only further heightened by rose, cardamom and ginger. Apparently, through the years, rose cardamom and ginger too have been considered as 'love-inducers'.. I'm yet to try this recipe but if you do, let me know.

Ingredients

 Water3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Chopped1 Teaspoon, dried
 Chopped1 Teaspoon, dried
 Green cardamom pods - 12, crushed
 Root ginger slice6
 Rose water2 Tablespoon
 Lemon juice1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Champagne1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

MAKING
1. In a saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil.
2. Put in the sea holly, vervain, cardamom pods, and ginger.
3. Close the sauce pan with a lid. Let the flavors steep for 1 hour.
4. Strain and chill for 1 hour.
5. Mix in the rose water, lemon juice and champagne.
6. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. This will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

SERVING
7. Serve in tall glasses, sprinkled with chopped fruits if you like.
