Rolled Vanilla Wafers Recipe

These rolled vanilla wafers are homemade wafers made with vanilla flavoring to them. baked simply with eggs, flour, sugar and milk, I love these vanilla wafers with vanilla or chocolate ice cream on the side or spread on them before serving!

Ingredients

 
Cake flour- 2 cups, sifted
 
Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
 
Baking powder- 2 teaspoons
 
Butter- 1/3 cup
 
Sugar- 1 cup
 
Egg- 1, beaten
 
Milk- 1/4 cup
 
Vanilla- 2 teaspoons

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 325F degrees
MAKING
2.In a bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
3.Cream butter and sugar.
4.Combine egg, milk and vanilla.
5.Add liquid and dry ingredients alternately to creamed mixture.
6.Spread very thin on greased baking sheet and bake in slow oven until slightly browned.
7.Once baked completely, remove the wafers and cut quickly into 3-inch squares and roll around handle of wooden spoon.
SERVING
8.Serve with ice cream
