Rolled Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
1/2-lb. butter
21/2cups flour
1/2 pint sour cream (the thicker, the better)
2 heaped tblspns, cornflour
some castor sugar
pinch salt
Directions
Sift the dry ingredients.
Rub in butter with the fingers.
Add sour cream and form into a dough.
Chill in refrigerator.
Cut dough in half (leaving other half in 'fridge).
Roll out onto a board sprinkled thickly with castor sugar.
(The smallest amount of flour may be mixed with the castor sugar to prevent sticking).
Roll to a fairly thin slab - about 15" x 9".
Trim edges with a sharp knife.
Start rolling the two long outer edges inward till the two rolls meet in the centre.
Cut the roll in slices, about y2" thick.
Press each slice lightly with a rolling pin.
Repeat with second half.
Bake in greased tray at 400° F for 8 - 10 minutes.
