Roast Turkey With Celery Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 kg / 4 1/2 lb turkey | ||
| Celery stick | 4 , sliced | |
| Onions | 2 Small, quartered | |
| Bay leaves | 2 | |
| 2 tbsp / 25 g / 1 oz butter | ||
| 3 rashers (strips) streaky (fat) bacon | ||
Directions
Stuff the turkey with the celery, onion, bay leaves and butter.
Place the turkey, breast down, on a roasting rack and cover with the lid. Cook for 25 minutes.
Turn the bird over, lay the bacon over the breast and cook for a further 25 minutes.
Discard the bacon and wrap the turkey loosely in foil. Let it stand for 10 minutes.
Brown the turkey under a preheated conventional grill (broiler).
