Rigatoni In Red Wine Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup red wine (preferably Barolo)
1/2 chopped onion
2 small sprigs of thyme (1/2 tsp. dry)
2 cups prepared tomato sauce
3/4 lb. rigatoni
Directions
Boil in large saucepan approx 4 minutes, or until reduced to almost half.
Add to above and simmer for another 15 minutes.
In the meantime, cook the pasta.
Cook in boiling water until al dente (firm to the bite).
Drain, add to the sauce, and serve.
