Butter Rieska Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups barley flour or rye flour, unsifted, or 1 cup of each flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons each sugar and baking powder
1 cup evaporated milk or light cream
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder until well blended.
Stir in milk and melted butter until a smooth dough forms.
Turn dough out onto a well-buttered baking sheet and, with flour-dusted hands, pat dough out to make a circle; about 14 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick.
Prick all over with a fork.
Bake in a 450° oven for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
