Ridge Gourd Chutney Recipe
Ingredients
2 medium sized ridge gourd ( peel the skin and cut into 1 inch pieces)
2 green chilli
2 small tomatoes( chopped)
4 - 5 cloves of garlic
salt to taste
chopped fresh corriander leaves
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
tamarind a little (soaked in water)
ingredients for tempering: curry leaves, red chilli halved, mustard seeds, asafetita powder, split urad dhal, cumin seeds
How to make Ridge Gourd Chutney
cook the ridge gourd, tomatoes, green chilli, garlic cloves in a closed pan without any water. Add a little salt.After the vegetable is cooked, cool it and grid it into a coarse paste . while grinding add a few corriander leaves, cumin seeds and tamarind to the vegetable and grind.
After tempering pour the tempered ingredients into the ground chutney.
