Rice With Oranges (Budino Di Riso Con Arance) Recipe
Ingredients
| Rice | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), uncooked (Rice:) | |
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) (Rice:) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Rice:) | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon (Rice:) | |
| Cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) (Rice:) | |
| Kirsch | 3 Tablespoon (Rice:) | |
| Oranges | 2 (Oranges:) | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Oranges:) | |
| Sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) (Oranges:) | |
| Kirsch | 4 Tablespoon (Oranges:) |
Directions
Combine the rice, milk, sugar and vanilla in a saucepan and simmer until tender.
Cool.
Whip the cream until thick.
Add the Kirsch.
Stir into cooked rice mix ture.
Peel the oranges (reserve the peel from one orange) and slice thinly.
Mix together water, sugar and orange peel in a saucepan and boil until it is a syrup.
Remove from heat and cool.
Strain.
Stir in Kirsch and orange slices.
Chill.
Pour rice pudding into a serving bowl and when ready to serve, arrange orange slices on top.
